Magical realism sets the tone to this visual and deeply moving journey of a mother trying to save her son’s life.

Francisca Alegria was born in Chile. Her undergraduate thesis “On the Table” was selected to several film festival and competed at the Valdivia Film Festival. In 2012 she joined the MFA in Screenwriting/Directing at Columbia University where she met a group of international filmmakers with whom she started a Film Collective “Braking Wave”. “And the Whole Sky Fit in the Dead Cow’s Eye” is her Thesis Film. She is currently working with Chilean based production house Jirafa on her first feature The Willow.
