Reda’s dreams of escaping the Palestinian refugee camp of Ain El-Helweh ended after being deported from Greece, from where he returned with a heroin addiction. In a camp torn apart by internal strife and against all odds he decides to marry his childhood sweetheart. A love story, as bittersweet as the camp itself.

Mahdi Fleifel is a Danish/Palestinian filmmaker based in Amsterdam. He graduated from the UK National Film and Television School in 2009. His debut feature A World Not Ours (12) was an official Miami Film Festival Selection. His upcoming feature, Men In The Sun, based on themes and characters he has encountered while making his recent works, is currently being developed in collaboration with Final Cut For Real in Denmark.
