LEARN FROM THE BEST: AN OSCAR-WINNING MENTOR
Masterclass
03/08/2017 7:00pm
Oscar winning director David Frankel and first time director Xavier Manrique talk about the process of developing, producing and directing a first feature film. Long time Miami resident and Miami Film Festival alum, Frankel has directed films such as Academy Award nominated The Devil Wears Prada, as well as locally shot favorites such as Miami Rhapsody and Marley & Me. Manrique, who worked as Frankel’s assistant while on set for Hope Springs and The Big Year, now sits in the director’s chair for his feature film debut Chronically Metropolitan, starring Shiloh Fernandez, Ashley Benson, Chris Noth and Mary-Louise Parker.
This event will be monitored by JP Cadaveira, film editor of Chronically Metropolitan.
