ARE WE NOT CATS preceded by BLOOD AND WATER
Are We Not Cats
Newly bereft of his girlfriend, his job and his home, raggedly handsome Eli accepts a one-off delivery gig that takes him to some upstate backwater where he stumbles into a relationship with Anya, a beguiling, eccentric young woman with some exceedingly peculiar predilections. The situation is about to get hairy—literally.
A sort of giddy, slacker spin on Cat People, Xander Robin’s inventive, lovably weird feature debut is a little gross and a lot charming. Old-school horror tropes worm their way into Are We Not Cats, but make no mistake: this is at heart a story of people connecting and the sometimes surprising things we do for love.
