As CEO of Kreate Films Shona Tuckman wrote and produced their first feature, FINDING JOY, a romantic-comedy-drama, which was released in theaters in June 2013. She quickly parlayed this success into producing the drama FAT, a touching, gut-wrenching story of a man battling food addictions. The film premiered at the 2013 Toronto International Film Festival to rave reviews and is now in wide release on digital platforms. Her third film, WAR STORY (Catherine Keener, Ben Kingsley), a drama shot entirely in Sicily, premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in 2014, and was released by IFC Films. Highlights of Kreate Films’ slate for 2017-2018 includes the YA novel adaptation of DR. BIRD’S ADVICE FOR SAD POETS, adaptation of rock journalist Marc Spitz’s novel HOW SOON IS NEVER?, and female-driven thriller, MAGGIE, which will mark Shona’s writing/directing debut.
