Sharing a birthday (August 31st) and a spectacular new drama, Norman: The Moderate Rise and Tragic Fall of a New York Fixer, is not the only thing Richard Gere and Israeli filmmaker Joseph Cedar share. On Friday, March 3rd, 2017, they’ll also be sharing the stage of the Olympia Theater to open the 34th edition of Miami Film Festival.

Joseph Cedar was born in New York and raised in Jerusalem. He studied philosophy and theatre history at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and cinema at New York University. His films Beaufort (07) and Footnote (11), were nominated for Oscars. Norman (16) is his latest film.
